We know that choosing a childcare provider for your child is an incredibly personal and emotive decision for any parent; there are several factors to take into account. We are very happy to have a chat on the phone to find out what is important to you and your child, and we will also be happy to answer any of your questions. Of course, we always recommend that parents come to visit us. In order to answer some potential immediate questions that you might have, we’ve created an FAQs here:

How does the funding work?

We spread government funding over 51 weeks of the year, with the final week in December fully chargeable. If you’re eligible for 30 hours of funding, this is stretched to 22 hours per week, which typically covers two full days. Funding can be used for full-day or half-day sessions. For families receiving 15 hours of funding, this works out to 11 hours per week, which usually covers one full day or two half days.

Please note that we charge a weekly enrichment fee to help cover meals and additional experiences.

This varies depending on your child’s age. To apply for funding and check your eligibility, please visit: 👉 Check your eligibility for free childcare.

If Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve falls on a weekday, we close at 4:00pm to allow our team time with their families. Please note that full fees still apply for these days.

Yes, if your child normally attends on a bank holiday, the session will still be fully chargeable.

If your child is unwell, we ask families to consider whether they are well enough to attend. For example, if your child has required Calpol regularly to control a temperature over the last 24 hours (especially overnight or in the morning), we recommend keeping them home until their temperature is stable without medication.

In the case of sickness or diarrhoea, your child must remain at home for 48 hours after the last episode.

If your child is prescribed antibiotics, they must stay home for at least 24 hours from the first dose to monitor for allergic reactions. We’re able to administer prescribed medication, provided it’s brought in with the original box and prescription label.

We require four weeks’ notice if you’re leaving the nursery or making any permanent changes to your child’s sessions. This allows us to manage our monthly invoicing and maintain smooth transitions for families and staff.

We don’t allow regular session swaps. However, additional (ad hoc) sessions can be booked depending on availability in your child’s room.

Yes, all scheduled sessions remain fully chargeable, even if your child is away on holiday.
