On Wednesday 1st May we are marking May Day – marking the beginning of summer with a garden picnic for tea time (4pm). If your child attends on this day, please feel free to join us for a picnic and games (hopefully) in the garden!

On Monday 13th May we will be celebrating International Nurses Day, which is held on the birthday of Florence Nightingale (12th May) to mark the contributions that nurses make to our society. It is a day to recognise the important role of nurses around the world.

We know your little ones won’t want to miss this one! On Thursday 23rd May it’s National Doughnut Day…but bear with us, it’s actually a fundraising event in aid of The Children’s Trust organised by the baking industry. The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. We will be doing a cake sale to fundraise and support this charity. If you would like to donate any cakes/bakes, then please do let us know.

On Tuesday 28th May we’re celebrating Elmer Day! It’s a chance to celebrate reading, our love of elephants and of course, accepting yourself and others, just like Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, star of the Elmer books by David McKee.
